The Pines at Genesee, located in Golden, Colorado, is just a short 30 minute drive from Downtown Denver with two beautiful outdoor ceremony spaces nestled in a grove of pine trees in the mountains. The indoor reception space has a working fireplace and huge windows to create a warm and bright atmosphere. I love how close this venue is to beautiful mountain views. The pine trees surrounding both ceremony spaces and string lights above make for one of my favorite places to photograph couples while they say their “I dos”.

Reception Space and Guest Accommodation

Whether you’re planning a large event or an intimate retreat, The Pines at Genesee accommodates groups as many as 280 people. With 12,000 square feet on two levels and outdoor patio areas with postcard views, The Pines at Genesee provides ample and comfortable space for your individual needs. At Pines of Genesee, there are two reception spaces: upstairs and downstairs, with dinner and dancing space on both levels.

The Aspen Wedding Terrace provides an elegant, picture-perfect backdrop with two wooden trellis and stunning brick pavers. The rental of the Aspen Wedding Terrace also includes benches, a white cloth aisle runner, a small table and white linen for the table. The Aspen Wedding Terrace can seat up to 210 on the benches with additional seating for up to 250.

The Evergreen Wedding Terrace celebrates the natural beauty of the Colorado mountains with stately pine trees, granite boulders and a log trellis.The Evergreen Terrace is designed to provide a truly Colorado feel for your ceremony. The rental of the Evergreen Wedding Terrace includes seating on our beautiful beetle kill pine benches, a white cloth aisle runner, a small table and white linen for the table. The Evergreen Wedding Terrace can seat up to 200.

Cost Considerations

Although prices vary, the average base price is $1,700 to $5,000 depending on the day of the week, time of day, and time of year. For a Saturday evening wedding held from 3:00 until 10:00 pm during wedding season (May to October), you can expect to pay closer to $5,000 for the reception spaces. If you would also like to hold your wedding at Pines of Genesee, it costs an additional $695 (when the reception is also booked there). The cost for the ceremony includes the outdoor ceremony site, seating, set-up and tear-down of seating, white cloth aisle runner, unity table with linen and indoor option in case of inclement weather. At the reception, tables, chairs, floor length linens in a wide range of colors, and china/silverware is all taken care of for you.

Other Considerations

 It’s in a beautiful mountain location. Just 18 miles from Denver, The Pines showcases the alpine beauty for which Colorado is famous. There are two terraces for holding outdoor ceremonies under the trees and, because this venue is accessible and gorgeous year-round, you have your choice of seasons.

The clubhouse is warm and rustic. Banquet halls on two levels feature décor that blends elegance with homey touches: A large, welcoming stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the downstairs room, and both areas have rich wood flooring and wraparound windows. At night there’s an extra bonus—the lights of the Mile High City twinkle in the distance.

You can bring in your own alcohol. This can save you a bundle, and you’ll also have the luxury of selecting your favorite beer, wine, and spirits. The Pines will provide a bartender along with all the glassware, ice, bar accessories, and garnishes.
