Hannah & Jack’s Colorful Wedding at The St Vrain
Hannah and Jack’s wedding at The St. Vrain was a vibrant celebration of love, creativity, and individuality. We initially connected because we all graduated from Purdue University, and it was such a joy to be part of their big day. As a photographer, The St. Vrain is one of my favorite venues, and it’s easy to see why Hannah and Jack were drawn to it as well. The space not only offers a beautiful canvas, but it also allows couples to infuse their personalities into every detail. And that’s exactly what this couple did, resulting in a truly colorful wedding that I’ll never forget.
A Colorful Wedding at The St. Vrain
From the moment I arrived, I could sense the energy and excitement. Hannah and Jack wanted their wedding to be fun, unique, and very “them,” and they nailed it. The color palette alone was unlike anything I’ve seen before—pink, chartreuse, orange, hot pink, and lavender. It was a bold choice, and it worked beautifully. These vibrant colors brought a sense of joy and playfulness to the day, setting the tone for a colorful wedding that was as lively as it was heartfelt.
Creative Details That Set the Tone
One of the standout features of the day was the custom invitation suite designed by Paper & Dust. Known for their creativity, they didn’t disappoint. The invitations featured a disco ball and funky graphics, perfectly hinting at the colorful and unconventional vibe of the wedding. It was a preview of the fun and playful atmosphere that would unfold throughout the day.
Florals and Decor That Wow
Speaking of disco balls, they were a recurring motif in the decor, and A Florae worked their magic with the flowers. Everywhere you looked, there was an explosion of color—flowers in every shade imaginable, paired with disco balls hanging from the ceiling at The St. Vrain. (I loved the columbine flowers in the floral frog vases, so beautiful!) It was whimsical and unexpected, yet it all came together seamlessly. The way the colors and decor complemented each other created a truly colorful wedding atmosphere that was equal parts celebratory and personal.
A Wedding That Felt Uniquely Theirs
The couple’s vision for the decor was all about fun. They wanted the vibe to be unique, and they succeeded. Everything from the florals to the table settings to the little details around the venue reflected who they are as a couple. It was refreshing to see a wedding that broke away from the traditional and embraced something different, something that felt true to who Hannah and Jack are. This colorful wedding truly felt like an extension of their personalities.
Sugar Pine Catering
Food is always an important part of any wedding, and Hannah and Jack made sure theirs was top-notch. They chose Sugar Pine Catering, and the rave reviews from their guests were well-deserved. The food was a highlight, with many guests telling the couple that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. (Not an uncommon thing to hear when Sugar Pine is catering!) The bar package was equally impressive, with countless options for guests to enjoy. The ability to bring in their own beverages was a feature that Hannah and Jack appreciated, as it gave them control over the drinks being served and added a personal touch to their colorful wedding reception.
A Wedding That Impressed
When it came to wowing their guests, Hannah and Jack focused on the details. They wanted every part of the ceremony and reception to reflect who they are, and they succeeded. From the decor to the music to the overall vibe, every element was thoughtfully chosen to make the day uniquely theirs. It was a colorful wedding that felt personal and intentional, and that’s what made it so memorable.
Staying True to Themselves
Planning a wedding is no small feat, and Hannah and Jack admitted that they were surprised by just how many decisions had to be made. But in the end, it was worth it. Their advice to other couples going through the process is simple: stay true to who you are as a couple. Don’t be afraid to go the non-traditional route, add some flair, and make choices that reflect your personalities.
A Day to Remember
Hannah and Jack’s wedding was one of my favorites, not just because of the stunning visuals and unique details, but because of the genuine love and joy that filled the day. It was a colorful wedding that felt authentic to who they are as a couple, and that’s what made it so special. Being able to capture those moments—both the big, bold ones and the quiet, intimate ones—was an honor.
As I look back on their wedding day, I’m reminded of why I love photographing at The St. Vrain. The venue offers endless possibilities, and when a couple like Hannah and Jack comes along with a vision that’s as creative and heartfelt as theirs, it results in something truly magical. Their wedding was a day filled with love, laughter, and plenty of color, and it’s one I won’t soon forget.
