Heather and Spencer had their Colorado winter wedding at The Raven at Three Peaks in Silverthorne. They both wanted to choose a wedding venue with great views, an outdoorsy feel, and that felt meaningful to them. Heather and Spencer had a private ceremony several months before their wedding and the location was very close to where their wedding venue was located. The couple was also excited for their guests, especially those that traveled for the wedding, to stay in such a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains and wake up to a gorgeous landscape.
Heather and Spencer wanted the venue to smell like and be covered in Colorado evergreens. The bridesmaids’ dresses were a shade of maroon, dark green, and dark blue, while the groomsmen’s tuxedos were dark blue with maroon bow ties. The wedding ceremony and reception were decorated with simple greenery, along with lots of candles to bring it all together and give their Colorado winter wedding a cozy feel.
The couple was so excited to feel their community around them, both of their families coming together and celebrating at their small, intimate wedding. Spencer was especially looking forward to the DJ and celebrating with friends and family on the dance floor, while Heather couldn’t wait for her dad to give her away at the ceremony and the father-daughter dance.
The wedding ceremony and reception were both indoors, but we were able to go outside for the creative portraits and they looked amazing with the snowy Colorado mountains and the sunset in the background. After the portraits, the wedding reception took place and everybody enjoyed dinner, which was New York Strip and Chilean salmon, beer, wine. After dinner, everyone danced the night away and sent them off by tossing lavender at the couple as they exited, which smelled incredible. 🙂
