Lindsay & Bobby’s Wedding Reception at The St Vrain
Lindsay and Bobby’s wedding reception at The St Vrain in Longmont was a beautiful celebration of their marriage, marking a special moment in their journey together. Having eloped in Colorado during the fall of 2023, the couple chose to host a separate wedding reception in May 2024, bringing together their closest friends and family for a day filled with love, laughter, and some incredible memories.
The Perfect Setting for a Wedding Reception: The St Vrain and The Terry House
The St Vrain is one of my absolute favorite venues, and it was the perfect location for Lindsay and Bobby’s wedding reception. The venue is known for its blend of industrial charm and modern elegance, with exposed brick walls, stunning chandeliers, and a spacious layout that makes photographing there always a dream. The natural light that pours in through the large windows only adds to the venue’s allure, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for a celebration like this.
Before heading to The St Vrain, Lindsay and Bobby got ready at The Terry House, another gem in Longmont. The Terry House is a gorgeous home that offers couples a comfortable and elegant space to prepare for their big day. One of the things I love most about The Terry House is its large courtyard in the back. Many couples, like Lindsay and Bobby, choose to use this space for their rehearsal dinner, making it a versatile and convenient choice for wedding preparations.
A May Wedding Reception Surrounded by Nature’s Beauty
By the time late May rolled around, the garden next to The St Vrain was beautiful, creating a stunning backdrop for Lindsay and Bobby’s wedding reception. The garden was bursting with color, with lilacs in full bloom that not only added a visual element but filled the air with their sweet fragrance. The scent of lilacs wafting through the garden was amazing—a fitting ambiance for a day that was all about celebrating the love between Lindsay and Bobby.
The garden at The St Vrain is always a beautiful spot for wedding photos, but there was something particularly special about how it looked on this day. The lush greenery and vibrant flowers added a fresh, natural element to the wedding reception, providing a perfect contrast to the industrial chic vibe of the indoor space.
A Celebration Eight Months in the Making
Hosting a wedding reception several months after the actual wedding day can bring a unique perspective to the celebration. For Lindsay and Bobby, their wedding reception was a chance to relive the magic of their elopement in Colorado and share that joy with their loved ones. It was clear throughout the day that this celebration was not just about their marriage, but also about the journey they’ve been on together and the love they share.
The reception itself was filled with all the elements that make for a memorable wedding reception. From the heartfelt toasts that had everyone laughing and crying in equal measure, to the lively dance floor that stayed packed all night long, every moment of Lindsay and Bobby’s wedding reception was filled with genuine emotion and pure joy.
One of my favorite moments of the day was capturing Lindsay and Bobby during their first dance. The way they looked at each other, with such deep love and connection, was a reminder of why I love doing what I do. It’s these moments, the ones filled with raw emotion and genuine connection, that make photographing weddings so special.
The Perfect End to a Perfect Day
As the evening came to a close, Lindsay and Bobby’s wedding reception was a beautiful reminder that love is worth celebrating, no matter when or where it happens. The combination of The St Vrain’s industrial elegance, the natural beauty of the blooming garden, and the warmth of The Terry House made this day truly special.
At the end of the day, it was clear that Lindsay and Bobby’s wedding reception was not just a celebration of their marriage, but also of the life they’ve built together. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and a sense of joy that will stay with them—and everyone who was there—for years to come.
