The River Bend in Lyons, Colorado, served as the enchanting backdrop for Liz and Ted’s wedding day, a celebration that was as unique as it was unforgettable. Liz and Ted brought their sunshine and lit up this cloudy, rainy day. I loved this beautiful wedding so much!
Dressed For The Occasion
Like a true Colorado bride, Liz sported custom “L+T” Chacos with her textural fit-and-flare gown; you could tell she was beaming and feeling like her most beautiful self. Her mom helped her with the final touches before the big reveal with her best friends; it’s safe to say they’re her number one fans.
Ted, on the other hand, donned a dashing green suit that perfectly complemented the red sandstone cliffs along the St. Vrain River. In the getting ready tent, he and his friends shared a few drinks & many laughs as they hyped him up to meet his soon-to-be wife. A few moments later, Liz and Ted had their first look amongst the lush greenery of the river, followed by a quick beer before the altar.

The running water’s soothing melody provided the soundtrack to their heartfelt vows. The drizzle added to the romantic atmosphere as Liz and Ted, surrounded by their closest friends and family, exchanged their promises. The couple’s first dance unfolded under the rain, followed by a heartwarming dance with their parents, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
This wedding wasn’t just about the bride and groom; it was about celebrating their love with those closest to them. Speeches by their parents and best friends added a personal touch to the day, revealing the depth of the couple’s connections.
As day turned to night, the festivities erupted with a silent disco. I have to admit I was a little skeptical of the silent disco, but it was such a hit—guests loved it! I think the funniest part was taking off the headphones and hearing everyone sing along to the music with no music actually playing through loud speakers. It was a wedding filled with laughter, love, and an unbreakable spirit, embodying the essence of Liz and Ted’s love story.
