Shannon & Ben’s Modern Western Wedding at The Manor House
Shannon and Ben’s western wedding at The Manor House in Littleton, Colorado, was a blend of modern western vibes and heartfelt moments. Their celebration was filled with unique and personal touches, creating a day that truly reflected their love and personalities.
When asked what they were most looking forward to on their wedding day, Shannon and Ben’s answer was simple: celebrating their love with the people they love. This sentiment was evident throughout the day, from the emotional ceremony to the lively reception. Every moment was a testament to the deep connections they share with their family and friends.
A Modern Western Wedding
The couple’s modern western wedding theme added a unique touch to the wedding decor. Moody colors, western accents, and a harvest moon on the night of the wedding inspired the overall vibe. The decor featured rich hues, rustic elements, and a touch of celestial magic, creating an ambiance that was both romantic and stylish. One of my favorite florists and good friends Yarrow & Spruce designed stunning florals for Shannon & Ben’s day.
The Perfect Venue
Shannon and Ben selected The Manor House for its accessibility and natural beauty. Located close to Denver yet nestled in the mountains, the venue offered the best of both worlds. With family and friends traveling from all over the country, they wanted a location that was convenient yet still has the beauty of being in the mountains. One of the standout features of The Manor House is the stunning view of downtown Denver nestled between two mountain peaks, visible from the ceremony area. This unique backdrop added a dramatic touch to their vows, making it a memorable moment for everyone present.
Shannon and Ben were thrilled to work with all their vendors, each contributing to the day’s success. The couple couldn’t wait to see the floral arrangements from Yarrow & Spruce, enjoy the band, and capture memories in my photo booth which we set up in their van. They were especially excited about the mini key lime pies, anticipating the delightful golden hour in the beautiful back yard situated right against the Front Range, and the full harvest moon that night.
The Manor House’s full kitchen provided an excellent culinary experience. Guests enjoyed appetizers like arancini, crab cakes, and egg rolls. For dinner, they were treated to two entrees: flatiron steak and chicken wellington. Desserts by Alyce in Flourland included key lime pies, various cheesecakes, a cinnamon roll tower, and a vintage-inspired cake for the bride and groom. A late-night snack of empanadas from Rincon Argentina Empanadas, one of their favorite places in Boulder, added a personal touch to the menu.
Shannon and Ben wanted to wow their guests with the overall experience of being in the mountains on a beautiful autumn night. Every detail, from the scenic views to the carefully curated menu, was designed to create an unforgettable experience for their loved ones.
Memorable Moments
The ceremony was so pretty, set against the breathtaking backdrop of The Manor House. Shannon & Ben couple exchanged vows in a setting that perfectly captured their love and the natural beauty surrounding them. (I love the view of the Denver skyline through the ridge at the ceremony venue! I always bring a longer lens when I photograph at The Manor House so I can really show the skyline above the couple.)
As the sun began to set, Shannon and Ben took advantage of the golden hour for some truly magical photos. The soft, warm light added a romantic glow to their portraits, creating images that they will cherish forever. The addition of the harvest moon added an ethereal touch, making the photos even more enchanting. This harvest moon wedding truly showcased the beauty of nature and love combined.
The reception was a lively and joyous celebration. The band kept the dance floor packed, and the photo booth in their van was a hit with guests. The delicious food and drinks were enjoyed by all, and the desserts were a sweet ending to a perfect meal. The late-night empanadas provided a tasty treat for those who danced the night away.
Throughout the day, every special moment was beautifully captured in photographs. From the candid shots of laughter and tears to the posed portraits against the stunning backdrop, the photos tell the story of Shannon and Ben’s love and the joyous celebration of their union.
