Sam & Nick | Wedding in the Foothills | Littleton, Colorado
Sam and Nick had their wedding at The Manor House in Denver. The Manor House is a historic mansion designed by Edbrooke, who is mostly known for his work on the Brown Palace, Oxford Hotel, and other prominent buildings in Denver. The Manor House has historically been used as a venue for events and parties—the owners hosted prominent figures from the era like President Theodore Roosevelt along with other prominent industrial chieftains, actors, and musicians. The Manor House located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Ken Caryl Valley and has six acres, complete with panoramic views that include the Dry Creek Canyon and a great view of Downtown Denver. It is an absolutely stunning wedding venue, and I can’t wait to photograph more weddings here.
As everybody got ready for the big day, we photographed wedding details and the bride and flower girl had the cutest matching jean jackets, not to mention when we later joined the ladies for getting ready photographs, they all had matching PJs. (I just love those little details.) After finishing hair and makeup, Sam got into her wedding dress and her mom helped her into her dress—it was such a special moment for the both of them. Then she had a first look with her father, bridesmaids, stepmom, mother-in-law, and finally her partner, Nick.
The wedding ceremony was outdoors, and we all got to see that gorgeous view of the mountains and the city in the behind them in the background. (We even had a rainbow appear over the ceremony arch structure while we were taking family formal portraits!)
The bride and groom loved the idea of doing their wedding party, family, and creative portraits outside to show off the beauty of The Manor House and its grounds. We captured some in front of The Manor House and others around their six acres to show off the mountain scenery.
Sam and Nick decided to have a desert table with different flavored cheesecakes all made by their family, which was such a delicious and creative take on dessert. The night ended with the wedding guests giving the couple a bubble send off, blowing bubbles and wishing them the best.
Congratulations Sam and Nick!
